Dinela Rushani

Dinela joined the Cardiac Surgery Residency program at the University of Toronto in 2020. Previously, she completed medical school and graduate studies in epidemiology at McGill University. She is interested in clinical outcomes research and epidemiologic methods applied to cardiovascular diseases.

Her PhD research is focused on the development of prognostic models to predict the risk of adverse events of anticoagulation therapy.

Dinela is broadly interested in and exploring the full breadth of adult cardiac surgery. She is particularly attracted to minimally invasive cardiac surgery and innovative approaches to improve patient-centred outcomes.
